The National Pollution Inventory (NPI) and Load-Based Licensing (LBL) regulations both require industrial facilities in NSW, and nationally, to produce emissions inventories for their sites and to submit written reports on their emissions to their local environmental authority.

The BbOx project will produce a piece of software that can generate these emissions inventories required by the new regulations, essentially automating the process as much as possible. It will also produce auditable greenhouse emissions credits and dollar value equivalents for trading purposes.
